The best business to start
I have spent a lot of time contemplating starting a newsletter...
Hey friends,
I have spent a lot of time contemplating starting a newsletter, pondering what to write, how to position myself, and even which language to use. Being from Hong Kong where bilingualism is common, the struggle arises on whether to use Chinese or English as the primary language. After much consideration, I have finally made a decision. My newsletter will be called "Road to 10M," documenting my journey from 0 to 10M (whether it be USD or subscribers, let your imagination run wild).
In my entrepreneurial journey, I have tried various endeavors (more details to come). I discovered that as a beginner, the best business model is a service-based business. This is because, in most cases, you may not have the capital to purchase goods, place ads, or have a margin for error. A service-based business allows you to trade your time and skills for money.
In my case, I started a digital marketing agency as my first step into the business world. I assist small businesses in designing websites, managing their social media accounts, and occasionally providing simple graphic design work. This quickly helped me build a network of business contacts since most of my clients were business owners or decision-makers. If you do a great job, they will refer you to their friends, and that's how my journey began.
Although starting a service-based business in B2B marketing is an excellent entry point into entrepreneurship, it can come with its challenges. In my second year, I began to feel burnt out as every client became my boss. I had to report to numerous people, and I felt more exhausted than when working a full-time job. It was during this time that I realized it was time to pivot. With sufficient experience and a network, I became capable of taking my business to the next level or building my own team.
But that's another story.

📈 My Monthly Dividend Portfilo
Stocks fluctuate, rising and falling, and the decision to buy or sell is often influenced by these changes. However, amidst this dynamic environment, there is one asset that I am determined never to sell. My goal is to accumulate as much as I can in this monthly dividend portfolio. When I receive the dividend payout reflected in my statement each month, the emotional experience is unparalleled. It instills in me the unwavering resolve to hold onto these investments indefinitely. Below are the holdings within this portfolio that contribute to this special feeling of long-term commitment and financial security.
